Sofia joined BurnettTurner after spending the first two years of her career practicing commercial litigation in Houston. During this time, she developed a strong foundation in litigation strategy while representing clients in both state and federal court.
While attending law school at The University of Texas School of Law, Sofia completed over 150 hours of pro bono work as a student attorney, was a member of the Texas Journal of Oil and Gas Law Society, the Chicano/Hispanic/Latino Law Students’ Association, and the Women’s Law Caucus, and interned for the Honorable Alan D Albright in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Prior to law school, Sofia attended Washington University in St. Louis where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in International & Area Studies and Psychology and graduated with honors.
